F&P is pleased to announce that we have added seven new associate attorneys to our Baltimore office team. In addition, Tony Troese has returned to do defense work with us after a brief tenure doing plaintiff’s work.
Amged Soliman will be litigating cases involving liability defense, and labor & employment law, before federal and state courts and commissions. For several years he also practiced administrative law before federal and state administrative law bodies. He has lectured on these subjects at various conferences across the nation as well as at the graduate school level.
Heather Rice is joining us from a personal injury firm located in Towson, MD. While there, she handled automobile accident, nursing home negligence, and medical malpractice litigation matters. At F&P, Heather concentrates on liability defense and trucking & transportation.
Prior to joining Franklin and Prokopik, Matthew Kuspa worked as an associate for a large real estate in Bethesda. He primarily represented financial lenders in Chapter 7, 13, and 11 bankruptcy cases. During law school, Matthew served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Pamela J. White at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Matthew now concentrates his practice in workers’ compensation & employers’ liability.
Chris Smith focused his practice in criminal litigation prior to joining F&P, serving as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Harford County for seven years. While working in the District Court Division, Mr. Smith prosecuted thousands of misdemeanor criminal cases as well as serious traffic cases. Chris now concentrates in workers’ compensation & employers’ liability.
Prior to joining Franklin & Prokopik, James Temple III worked for with a small workers’ compensation firm in Ellicott City, Maryland as well as with Chesapeake Employers’ Insurance Company (formerly IWIF). During this time, he focused primarily on workers’ compensation defense, while tackling such ancillary issues such as coverage and conflicts of interest. James continues to practice workers’ compensation & employers’ liability at F&P.
Tony D’El Villeral worked as Premium Auditor for several years before attending law school. During law school, Tony worked as a summer associate for Travelers Indemnity where he gained significant experience defending workers’ compensation claims in the District of Columbia. Following law school, he has continued to focus his practice on the defense of employers and insurers in the District of Columbia workers’ compensation claims.
Renee Bowen brings F&P experience representing small businesses and individuals at hearings and trials in district and circuit courts throughout Maryland. She also has served as a contract attorney where she handled issues raised in a variety of matters including contract disputes, family law, civil procedure, and criminal defense. Currently, Renee concentrates her practice on liability defense.
