Experience
Heather Uzer is a Northern Virginia native who focused her current active litigation practice in the area of liability defense work.
Heather graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Polytechnic and State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a legal studies concentration. During college, she was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity.
After graduating from college with Honors, Heather went on to attend law school at George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia. During law school, Heather excelled as a member of Moot Court and the Civil Rights Law Journal. She also worked part-time during law school at a prominent law firm in Arlington, Virginia, where she worked in the areas of general civil litigation practice and personal injury cases, with a specialty in medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases on the side of the Plaintiff.
After graduating from law school, Heather passed the bar exam in Virginia. Following her licensure, Heather began practicing as an attorney at a family law firm in Fairfax, Virginia, where she worked predominately on divorce, child custody, and support cases. Heather then transitioned to another role at a prominent family law firm located in Tysons, Virginia.
Following her positions at family law firms, Heather transitioned to a role at a prominent general civil litigation firm in Arlington, Virginia, where she gained exposure to a wide range of different types of civil litigation experience and significant courtroom experience.
Heather joined Franklin and Prokopik in 2025.
Activities
Heather enjoys an active and healthy lifestyle outside of work, including long distance running, yoga, pilates, resistance training, and meditation. Heather also enjoys traveling, the beach, and spending time with her family and friends, many of whom live nearby to her in the DC metropolitan area.
