WCC Commissioner Maureen Quinn Appointed as Commission’s Acting Chair
Previous Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission Chairman Karl Aumann announced his retirement at the end of 2022, opening a vacancy for his position. As of December 31, 2022, Commissioner Maureen Quinn was appointed to that position and became the new Acting Chair of the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission.
Acting Chair Quinn has over 20 years of experience as a Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commissioner. She was originally appointed as a commissioner in 2002 by the former Maryland Governor, Parris Glendening. She was subsequently re-appointed by former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley in 2014 and has continued in her role as Commissioner ever since. Acting Chair Quinn’s term is set to expire in 2026.
